University Senior Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, where he teaches international and EU law; Co-Deputy Director of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law; Fellow of Jesus College; main research interests are public international law, international economic law with a focus on finance and the settlement of international disputes; his book Sovereign Defaults before International Courts and Tribunals received the biannual ESIL book prize in 2012; he won a Leverhulme Prize in 2014; his most recent book is The Political Economy of the Investment Treaty Regime (Oxford University Press, 2017, with Jonathan Bonnitcha and Lauge Poulsen).
